Cache Invest is an Australian fintech company operating as an Investing-as-a-Service provider. Their platform delivers real-time liquidity and innovative investment products to digital investment apps and websites, with a focus on democratising access to investing for everyday Australians. After pivoting from a direct-to-consumer model to a B2B model, Cache Invest began serving fintech founders and financial institutions seeking compliant, scalable investment infrastructure.
When Cache Invest shifted from B2C to B2B, the demands on their infrastructure changed significantly. Serving fintech businesses meant that uptime, security posture, and operational resilience became commercial requirements that prospective clients would scrutinise before signing on.
Cache Invest had a capable internal tech team managing their AWS environment, but lacked the specialised expertise needed to maintain the level of operational coverage and security management that institutional clients expect. Without addressing these gaps, Cache Invest risked being unable to expand its offering to fund managers, small banks, and other financial institutions, threatening the company’s growth trajectory.
Cache Invest engaged DNX, an AWS Premier Consulting Partner, to establish a comprehensive managed operations model across their AWS environment.
DNX deployed a 24/7 Cloud Operations service with follow-the-sun coverage, giving Cache Invest round-the-clock access to engineering support across all severity tiers. The engagement covers the full operational lifecycle of their AWS infrastructure, including event management, incident management, change management, and cloud access management, all governed by a structured ITIL-aligned ITSM framework with defined SLAs.
To address security at an ongoing operational level, DNX deployed Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) and Data Security Posture Management (DSPM), providing continuous visibility into misconfigurations, vulnerabilities, and compliance gaps across the AWS environment. This is complemented by vulnerability scanning and network threat monitoring, ensuring timely detection and response to security risks.
A dedicated Cloud Service Delivery Manager (CSDM) serves as Cache Invest’s single point of contact for all service governance, escalations, and continual service improvement. Monthly reporting covers security status, service performance, usage metrics, and cost management recommendations, giving the Cache Invest team clear visibility without the operational overhead.
The service also includes backup and recovery management, patch management across OS and platform layers, container management, and billing management with cost optimisation recommendations aligned to Cache Invest’s financial objectives.
Since onboarding, the partnership has delivered measurable improvements across security posture, vulnerability management, and operational resilience:
New market access: With a demonstrable security and compliance posture, Cache Invest is now positioned to meet the expectations of fund managers, small banks, and other financial institutions as it expands its B2B client base.pt engineering, DNX delivered a system that exceeds requirements while remaining commercially viable.
Reduced security findings: Total CSPM findings decreased by 21.4%, with zero critical misconfigurations maintained throughout the period, reflecting sustained remediation activity and improved configuration hygiene.
Vulnerability remediation: 27 critical and 546+ high-severity vulnerabilities were remediated, resulting in zero open critical or high vulnerabilities at the close of the reporting period.
Stable, growing environment: The monitored asset count grew from 515 to 527 during this period, while the tenant risk score held steady at 4.03–4.04 and compliance posture remained above 93%.
Operational focus: With a managed operations model in place, Cache Invest’s internal team can focus on building and scaling their platform rather than managing infrastructure risk.
